One of the fun parts of being a part-time photographer is merging both of my professional worlds. I met the Davidsons a few years ago through my “day job.” Young political junkies have not always been common in this area, so it’s always wonderful to meet kindred spirits.

As the holidays have approached, I’m reconnecting with all sorts of friends. Being asked to photograph the families of colleagues and former associates is wonderful…I love that they trust me to capture them as they make memories.

Jennie and Michael, thanks for placing your trust in me. Sawyer is just the cutest little dude…I’m sure this holiday season will be incredibly fun and meaningful! Enjoy!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting up with an old high school friend of mine in order to photograph her family. It’s hard to imagine that someone I used to dance with and play with after school is already a mom…after all, I’m still a kid. Right, RIGHT?!

LeAnn, your girls are GORGEOUS and I had a fantastic time spending the afternoon with you guys! Anytime you want to come over and “play”, you’re more than welcome!!! XOXO!

My cousins called me up a couple of weeks ago and asked for help with family photos for their Christmas cards! I couldn’t say no, because 1) I love these people to death and 2) I knew they’d make excellent subjects!

We met at Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim (a new favorite shooting location!) on Sunday morning where we had great light and open shade! The kids were ready to smile and the jokes that flew made the smiles all the more natural. At one point, I even had the kids volunteer for solo pics. Usually, with younger families, I have to run after the little ones and hope I can capture a smile, but with these gorgeous kiddos, they did all the work!

Jake, Mandie, Katlyn, Hope, and Buddy, I love you all to pieces and was so happy to spend the morning with you! But next time, avoid the breakfast burrito! XOXO!
