In all of my collections, albums are included. However, I have had clients who have called me after they’ve presented their incredible gift saying their man enjoyed the images so much, that they want a little more. And I love that!

Over the next month, I’m going to be  introducing some of the fun new products and today I’d like to show you the Float Wrap. Similar to a traditional canvas gallery wrap, this product is printed and folded over a backer board and mounted on an inch deep foam core. It is light weight and easy to hang, and I personally love hanging them in clusters.

In a suite high above the strip, about 15 women sat around discussing business at the super swank and fun Cosmopolitan Hotel. Leah Aubrey and Jennifer Williams, two awesome chicks I met at a workshop last year, have incredible businesses and listening to them and joining in the dialogue confirmed to me that I’m on the right track! I’m so thankful to them for the wonderful business advice they shared AND for the opportunity to shoot a couple of gorgeous gals (the one below, a boudoir photographer herself!).

It’s such a joy to help make women feel like the gorgeous creatures that they are and I’m even more confident that this is what I’m supposed to be doing with my artistic gifts!

My boudoir site, www.JENJOHNSONBOUDOIR.com is finally here. After 30 days of posting on this blog in December, followed by nearly two weeks of silence, I’m thrilled to bring you something I’ve been working on for a couple of months now. I truly believe that boudoir is my calling and I’m so proud to finally reveal my new online home!

I am SO THRILLED with Showit for making web design a snap. Not only did I NOT have to learn HTML or web design, but their customer service was incomparable! I’ve known of David Jay for years now and am so glad that he provided this amazing resource for photographers. Showit not only has an amazing web program, but they offer training and support and now I am a lifelong devotee!

And through Showit, I learned of the unstoppable Promise Tangeman. Promise is an amazing creative (seriously, God gave her “extra!”) who came up with website templates specifically for Showit sites. I purchased one and made it mine…and I am in love with it! For my first website, I feel like this is classy, unique, and more than just a “starter” website!

My dear friend Jennifer created my logo and Karrie Pyke of Karrie Pyke Designs tweaked it and then gave me some other wonderful elements to use in the site in order to make it less of a template site and more me.

I also have got to thank some of my closest photo pals who provided support, encouragement, and advice…so, Ashley, Tira, Melissa, and Becker, I can’t thank you enough! I also must thank my brave clients who gave me permission to use their images. They are all beautiful women with beautiful hearts. Their love stories inspire me as does their confidence!

And lastly, I must thank the AMAZING Kiera Faye for the (ahem, excuse my french) BADASS promo video on the front page. Kiera is amazingly talented, patient, speedy, a lover of Jesus, and really knows how to merge the creative thoughts of her clients with her own recommendations. When we first met, even before the web design process began, she came to me with suggestions that really drove my whole launch. Her fun personality made me not only want to work with her, but to become her friend, too!

A. I don’t have a hair and makeup professional “on staff,” but I do have several recommendations in a number of different price points (these services are not included in the collection price).

When I had my new headshots done recently, I went to see Carina at Flawless Faces. Carina knows how to make brides and boudoir babes look incredible with photography in mind.

Q. DO MY IMAGES HAVE TO BE DISPLAYED ONLINE?

A. Absolutely not! As you’re booking your shoot, I’ll send you a contract, which includes a privacy clause. If you are adverse to only revealing your identity, we can load your hot, yet ANONYMOUS, shots online. It’s completely up to you! This anonymous siren didn’t want her fiance to find out about the shoot prior to the wedding, so she only approved this type, which is still A-OKAY with me!

Q. WHERE DOES THE SHOOT TAKE PLACE?

A. Wherever you’d like! In most of my collections, the location is up to you. I can make some fantastic recommendations on sexy hotels, and in many cases, can arrange for a special rate. Let’s discuss your preferred location at the time of booking. If you’d prefer to shoot at home, that’s fine, too. If that’s the case, I’d recommend “neutralizing” the location (i.e. white sheets, personal items removed off of nightstands, etc).

If you purchase a spot in one of my marathons, the location is included in the collection price and will be sent to you shortly before the session.

Q. I’M GETTING MARRIED. WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SHOOT IF I WANT TO GIVE MY FIANCE A LITTLE BLACK BOOK FOR OUR WEDDING?

A. My Little Black Books are awesome. Click here to read more about them. My beautiful Leather Craftsmen albums take about six weeks for production and a couple of weeks for design. Let’s schedule your shoot at least two months before your special occasion!

Q. CAN I BRING SOME MUSIC AND CHAMPAGNE TO HELP ME RELAX DURING MY SESSION?

A. YES! I bring some music, but if you have something that will help you get in the “zone,” please feel free to bring it along! The same thing goes for champagne. As a lover of the bubbly stuff, I say bring it along – we might even incorporate it into some shots!

As I’ve been building my boudoir business, I knew that I needed something special for my albums. Little Black Books are keepsakes that my clients give to their fiances or husbands, either on a wedding day or for a special occasion. Elsie gave hers to her husband on their “lucky 13th anniversary.” Lee Ann gave hers to her hubby the night before their wedding. Some of my clients get them to give to their husbands who travel a lot for business. Whatever the reason, I think it’s AWESOME. I love the anticipation they feel as they plan their gift!

I offer two different albums. The Little Black Book is 6×9, has 16 or more pages, and can be customized about anyway you’d like. A’s book below is standard and absolutely gorgeous. The pages are sturdy, the leather quality is outstanding. These books will last forever!

The other option I offer is the Mini. This option is more economical, but offers limited customization and only has 10 pages. It’s 4×6 and still has the thick pages and archival quality.
