Last night, my family and I headed out to dinner in Temecula to celebrate my birthday a few days early. The Smokehouse at Ponte Family Estates Winery is one of my all time favorite restaurants and we had an incredible meal, as always. My sister and I both had our cameras and took some photos of each other and our parents for fun, and then my mom decided to take a picture of the two of us. Simply put, her photo made us crack up. Correction, her description that it was “just a little blurry” made us laugh. But then the tears started to fall when I was reminded of how she one time shook my blackberry in order to make the screen scroll down. That just did it. I lost it. There was no turning back. I was crying at my favorite restaurant and laughing like a lunatic!
Regardless of the laughter, I had a wonderful time, but wish that my brother, SIL, and the world’s cutest niece and nephew could have been there, too. They would have enjoyed the dinner…and the laughter. Mom, thank you SO MUCH for being a good sport and for giving me the belly laugh that I needed! I love ya!
